2 squares Baker's Square unsweetened chocolate
1 c. canola oil
1 TBS vanilla
2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
1 c. coursely chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
1. Melt chocolate in oil in microwave
2. In a mixing bowl add the chocolate mixture and the rest of the ingredients in the order shown. Before adding the flour, mix it with the salt and baking powder.
3. Stir everything together and turn into a greased and floured 9x13" pyrex pan. 4. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or when a knife poked into the center comes out clean.
5. Cool at least 15 minutes then cut into squares.
