Mayonnaise Chocolate Cake
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm water
1 cup Best Foods or Hellmann's mayonnaise (use Mircale Whip if you like)
1 TBS vanilla extract
1 tsp white vinegar
1. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. Sift together in a large bowl the dry ingredients. Stir in mayonnaise. Mix the water, vinegar and vanilla in a cup and add to the batter and mix about 3-4 minutes. Pour into prepared pans.
3. Bake at 350 degrees, about 30 minutes or until cake springs when touched. Cool. Remove from pans.
4. Frost with Creamy Cocoa Frosting or Devil's Food Fudge Frosting .
